A few days after helping the Florida Panthers clinch their 2nd consecutive Stanley Cup championship, Brad Marchand was back to work… serving up Blizzards at Dairy Queen. “According to a post on X made by Tim Reynolds, Dairy Queen has added a ‘Brad Blizzard’ to their menu, changing the name of their iconic dessert for the day and also promising a brief visit with Marchand himself, who was said to be sitting in from 11 am.“
Wearing a Dairy Queen themed shirt, Brad Marchand served up “Brad Blizzards” at a Dairy Queen in Sunrise, Florida to DQ customers at the Drive-through, signed autographs and took pictures with lucky customers at the DQ Sunrise, Florida location as part of the Stanley Cup celebration and to promote the new “Brad Blizzard”.
(South Florida Sun Sentinel); Friday’s trip to Dairy Queen is the latest in a line of celebrations around South Florida. From the arena, the Panthers traveled to the now-traditional early morning party at the Elbo Room on Fort Lauderdale Beach. On Thursday night, the team then partied at Miami nightclub E11ven, where center and pending free agent Sam Bennett announced he was staying with the team.
The Florida Panthers defeated the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals by a final of 5 to 1 on Tuesday June 17th to clinch the best-of-seven series 4 to 2 and claim their 2nd consecutive Stanley Cup. The Panthers also defeated the Edmonton Oilers in 2024 to claim the cup and won the series with a 2-1 victory in Game 7.
Brad Marchand played a pivotal role in the 2025 Florida Panthers Stanley Cup run, netting 10 goals and also had 10 assists during the 23 game playoff run. Marchand had the 4th-most goals during the NHL postseason and had a +/- of 17, 2nd in the NHL playoffs behind fellow Florida Panthers teammate Anton Lundell who had a +/- of 19. Marchand was traded to the Florida Panthers from the Boston Bruins in March of 2025 around the NHL trade deadline.
