Representative Thomas Massie (KY-4) may do himself a HUGE favor if he listens to Dan Bongino. Bongino is one of the top podcasters (and soon to be Deputy FBI Director appointed by Kash Patel & President Trump) Dan Bongino probably became number #1 in a lot of the top podcast rankings because he is EXTREMELY reasonable and backs pretty much all of his statements with facts and receipts. Bongino stated on his March 11th podcast; “I don’t have a problem with his end-goal (referring to Massie), let’s cut government spending at all, he’s correct…the problem is, the mechanics of what he’s trying to do requires actual oil & gears and he doesn’t have them, he doesn’t have the votes.. you need a majority of the House of Representatives, he’s by himself on the Republican side, he doesn’t have the votes, in other words, there’s Republican’s out there who have unfortunately said we are kicking this can down the road until we get to reconciliation.” The reconciliation vote would require a simple majority rather than the 60-vote requirement to break the Senate filibuster, 53 Republicans and 47 Democrats currently hold seats in the Senate.
The reason why Dan Bongino has the number #1 purely political podcast according to numerous major ranking services is because Bongino uses reason over emotion to come up with solutions to the issue. Massie is purely the opposite frequently voting against the Republican consensus with no solution to the issue. While Massie’s end-goals may be heavily favored by the Republicans and the MAGA community, his solutions have been proven to be non-existent as in the case of the recent Government spending bill; “the reconciliation bill uses a process called reconciliation so if we could just get there and be patient, and deal with a few more months of this crap-bill with government spending we don’t need to overcome a filibuster in the Senate all we need is a majority using reconciliation where we can actually implement the DOGE cuts” Bongino stated on his podcast.
Massie, take note.. this is called logical thinking and strategy, with all due respect…you should try it!
