(New York Post): Jeanine Pirro — the former Fox News firebrand and onetime New York judge — was confirmed Saturday along party lines as Washington DC’s top prosecutor.
The Senate voted 50-45 to approve the former Westchester County prosecutor and elected judge, who stepped in as the acting US Attorney for the District of Columbia in May.
Pirro was confirmed despite House Democrats urging the GOP-led Senate to reject President Trump’s second hand picked nominee to lead the office, warning that the former co-host of Fox’s “The Five” would serve as a partisan tool for the White House.
