The Boston Celtics closed out their NBA Championship run on Monday night, taking down the Dallas Mavericks 106 to 88. The Celtics won the best of 7 series 4 to 1 and captured their 1st NBA Championship title since 2008. The Celtics had 16 wins and 3 losses during their Championship run. Boston defeated Miami, Cleveland, Indiana and Dallas in best of 7 series to earn the 2024 NBA Championship title. The Boston Celtics finished the regular season with 64 wins and 18 losses, (with playoffs 80 wins and 21 losses).
The Celtics set multiple records this season including winning 17 games by 25 points or more, 10 games by 30 or more, 3 by 50 or mote and had 19, 20-point wins. General Manager, Brad Stevens built perhaps the deepest NBA bench we have ever seen and the Celtics dominated all season and all throughout the playoffs and very deservedly captured the ultimate prize!
The Celtics stayed concentrated on their goal and as you’ll see in the below clip, their Head Coach, Joe Mazzulla was not affected by politics and ignored the liberal pundits in the media looking to bring a racial aspect into the NBA finals. For the Celtics, it wasn’t about politics, it wasn’t about race, it was about winning… as it should be and as it is for most of the teams who are able to earn a championship title!
