(Fox Nashville) – A Kentucky woman is facing federal charges after authorities say the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., was vandalized.
Federal prosecutors say Melissa Farris, 41, of Elizabethtown, was accused of spray-painting graffiti on the memorial and pouring a substance into a fountain, causing it to bubble.
Investigators say a witness photographed her at the scene, and public social media posts allegedly connected her to the vandalism.
She faces two federal felony charges.
Op-Ed; This person is a piece of shit, lock her up for the rest of her life… what an absolute disgrace… I believe terrorist charges should be added for terrorizing a beautiful historic landmark!!!
