Friday August 15th 2025 was a very historic day as President Donald Trump met face to face with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss ending the Russian War with Ukraine amongst other topics including US-Russia relations & trade possibilities between the two countries.
The main focus of the discussion was about the Russia-Ukraine war and the next steps in stopping the Russia-Ukraine war which started in 2022. During a brief media update, both President Trump & President Putin expressed optimism in the meeting. Putin stated that the nearly 3.5 hour discussion was very “constructive”. The historic meeting took place in Anchorage, Alaska and was Vladimir Putin’s first time in the United States since 2015.
